RWA 2.0

Woohoo! I can stop sending my annual "You should do blogging and more virtual participation for National" email into the RWA cyberspace abyss.

As published in the July RWR (p. 31), RWA will be facilitating live blogging during National (live blogging means blogging during an event as opposed to before/after). It looks like their roster of bloggers is fixed, but maybe they'll let some attendees do some drive-by blogging. They will even be doing live updates during the award ceremony for Golden Heart and RITA winners.

I can't make a direct link as accessing the blogs will require sign-in to the RWA site, but will post more details as they become available (it doesn't look like they will even have the blog page/link live before the 11th). Update: blog schedule posted here.

How long til live webcasts during the awards? How long til there is a virtual attendance option for workshops? Less than a decade, right? Hello?
